Report safety, coercion, or abusive content
In PROVE IT, open You → Report safety or abuse. The app opens an email draft with your anonymous device id; nothing is sent unless you choose to send it. You can also email miklos.gergo.98@gmail.com. Do not attach private proof unless it is necessary and you deliberately choose to share it with support.
Use Unpair immediately to stop the other device from sending new requests and to delete the pair’s active server data and cached proof media. A former partner cannot pair again without a new code and your deliberate approval. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services; PROVE IT is not an emergency or safety-monitoring service.
Common questions
How does pairing work?
One of you shows the pairing code or QR from the app, the other enters or scans it. Pairing links exactly two phones; both partners see the same check-ins. Either partner can unpair at any time from settings, which deletes the pair’s data from the active service and clears cached proof media. Receipt records can remain locally until each phone’s user deletes them.
My partner didn’t get the check-in
Make sure notifications are enabled on their phone (iOS Settings → Notifications → PROVE IT) and that they have an internet connection. Opening the app always fetches the latest state even if the push didn’t arrive.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open the paywall and tap “Restore purchases”, or reinstall the app — purchase state is restored automatically through your Apple Account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → PROVE IT → Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How long is proof kept?
Submitted proof media and check-in records age out from the active service within 30 days. Unpairing removes the pair’s active server data earlier. Residual database content is scheduled for removal from rotating disaster-recovery backups when it reaches 30 days; an interrupted rotation is retried. Local receipt records remain under each phone owner’s control until they delete them.
How do I delete my data?
Use “Delete my account” in the app’s settings — it unpairs you, erases active pair data, clears local app history, and removes your active device record from the server. Deleting the app alone does not do this; your anonymous identity can survive in the iOS Keychain. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that separately in Apple ID subscription settings.
